Zenith El Primero A384 Revival

The Zenith El Primero could be described as one of the most important movements in the history of watchmaking. Meaning “The First” in Spanish, in 1969 the El Primero claims to have beaten its competition to become the first automatic chronograph.
 
Zenith chose the A384 as the watch to present this movement to the world, and some 50 years later, released this Revival as a celebration of that original watch.
 
Not only is it a celebration, but a faithful reproduction of the 1969 watch with identical proportions, leaning into the desire for smaller pieces. The 37mm steel tounneau-style case is finished with horizontally brushed sides and radial brushing on the top, separated with polished edges that connect to the polished lugs.
 
The panda dial has a white lacquer with contracting black oversized sub dials. A date window sits discreetly between 4 and 5 and a red chronograph seconds hand provides a splash of colour to the monochrome aesthetic.
 
Through an exhibition case back you can appreciate the El Primero automatic movement, a modern version of the original 1969 movement, featuring 278 components and offering a 50-hour power reserve.
 
This wonderful piece bridges the divide between a classic vintage watch and modern steel sports chronograph and as such, is fitted with a black alligator leather strap which features a rubber lining.
 
We are excited to present this watch in an excellent, like-new condition showing very little signs of wear. It comes supplied as a full set including its original presentation box, leather card holder, warranty card and instructions. Additionally, this 2024 watch is covered by a Zenith warranty until February 2026.
