Oris "Wings of Hope"

Oris have been making watches for pilots for well over 80 years with the introduction of the Big Crown in 1938, featuring an oversized crown for use by pilots wearing leather gloves.
 
Today, Oris combine their passion for creating luxury wristwatches with an effort to raise awareness, and funds for good causes.
 
This special watch, limited to just 1,000 pieces, was created to support the Wings of Hope project, a humanitarian non-profit that uses aviation to connect individuals in developing countries with the resources they need.
 
Using the Big Crown model, the watch is fitted with Oris’ in-house calibre 401 movement which boasts a five-day power reserve, 10-year recommended service intervals and a 10-year warranty.
 
The 40mm steel case wears well on the wrist and a simple white dial makes it suitable for everyday wear while retaining some design cues of those early Big Crown watches.

Fitted to the watch is a beautiful Cervo Volante strap – as part of Oris’ Change for Better mission, the strap is made from sustainably sourced deer leather. Also supplied is an additional Oris dark brown leather strap.
 
We are pleased to present this watch in a very good pre-owned condition, showing some light wear to the case and dark brown strap. It comes supplied with its original box and paperwork and is covered by an Oris warranty to 2033.
