Oris Big Crown x Cervo Volante

Oris have been making watches for pilots for well over 80 years with the introduction of the Big Crown in 1938, featuring an oversized crown for use by pilots wearing leather gloves. The addition of a pointer date complication allows the dial to remain balanced while lume-filled cathedral hands provide legibility in low light.
 
As part of Oris’ Change for Better mission, they partnered with Cervo Volante. They are a Swiss leather manufacturer who creates leather accessories from the skins of deer who are culled as part of Switzerland’s population control program, in order to protect the country’s forests.
 
The dial of this special watch is inspired by those alpine forests, finished in a soft green. The dial darkens around the outer edge, providing a contract for the minute track and date indicator, and is framed by a coin-edge bezel.
In keeping with the vintage style, the case is a compact 38mm and has a predominantly brushed finish. Through an exhibition case back you can view the calibre 754 Swiss-made movement which features Oris’ signature red rotor.
 
The watch is of course paired with a Cervo Volante leather strap but is also supplied with a green rubber strap for an alternative look.
 
We are pleased to present this watch in a very good pre-owned condition, showing some evidence of wear. It comes with its original box and paperwork, including a Cervo Volante leather pouch and a 6-month warranty supplied by Watch Concierge Services.
