Girard-Perregaux Laureato Olimpico Ltd Ed
First produced in 1975, the Laureato has proven to be popular with watch enthusiasts who love how the case carefully combines soft curves with sharp edges, and its integrated bracelet gives a seamless look and is extremely comfortable to wear.
In 1996 Girard-Perregaux released this Olimpico edition to celebrate the Atlanta Olympic Games. They were limited to just 999 pieces, of which only 333 have this silver dial.
The dial itself is decorated with a hobnail, or Clous de Paris pattern, which subtly catches the light. Steel hands and silver-coloured rings around the subdials provide legibility, enabling the wearer to make full use of the chronograph – essential for any sports watch.
The 40mm steel case sits well on the wrist, and that iconic octagonal polished bezel provides a contrast against the brushed finish on the rest of the case. The crown is also octagonal, to both match the bezel and allow ease of use.
The watch is presented in a very good pre-owned condition, showing some evidence of wear consistent with its age. It comes supplied with a Girard-Perregaux box and booklet, and a 6-month warranty from Watch Concierge Services.
